Royal Norwell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is the newest addition to the Royal family of senior care options. Formerly Norwell Knoll, Royal acquired the facility in December of 2013. We are proud to increase our care capabilities on the South Shore.

Royal Norwell is looking for Outstanding Physical Therapist to be part of their Team!!!!

Full Time benefited position

Overview:

The Physical Therapist will provide skilled physical therapy services in the center consistent with professional standards and policies. S/he will participate in the development of programs necessary to achieve patient care objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

a. Completes all documentation required and in accordance with state and federal regulations and policy
b. Completes all billing required and in accordance with state and federal regulations and policy
c. performs patient assessments and evaluations to determine functional level and establish a therapeutic program
d. Develops a therapy plan of care with overall plan of care to include goals and discharge plans per CMS guidelines
e. Utilizes standardized assessments to validate the need for skilled PT services
f. Documents, within time frames, observations, patient's response to treatment, treatment programs, degree of progress and notable charges in patient condition
g. Communicates and coordinate patient care with other members of the patient's health care team.
h. Supervises physical therapy assistants in accordance with regulations and policy
i. Provides patient and family teaching related to patient's physical therapy program and its maintenance
j. provides physical therapy in accordance with physician's orders and accepted professional practices
k. Assists the patient and/or family to procure needed equipment or supplies
l. Utilizes appropriate hand washing, standard precautions and personal protective equipment
m. Attends staffing meetings and patient conferences.
n. Other duties as required by the Director of Rehabilitation.

Job Requirements:

a. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
b. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
c. Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
d. Ability to occasionally performing one-person transfer of patient's weighing up to 125 pounds who are stable and able to assist
e. Ability and willingness to maintain skills and education by attending continuing education and in-service programs
f. Ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
g. Ability to proofread and check documents for accuracy
h. Ability to regularly input/retrieve data into or from computer system.
