General Statement of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Business office manager is responsible for the daily activities related to Admissions, Verifications and Collections.

General Statement of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Business office manager is responsible for the daily activities related to Admissions, Verifications and Collections.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Direct facility’s accounts receivable under supervision of CFO and Director of Accounts Receivable
- Participates in weekly Medicare meeting and monthly triple check meeting
- Responsible for private aging and maintaining DOS averages
- Verify admissions and payer source
- Meet with families to review coverage upon admission
- Ability to initiate and code PPS billing
- Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility process
- Maintain daily census
- Maintain PNA according to regulations
- Other duties as needed
- Experience with Matrix software preferred but not necessary
Key Educational/Professional Requirements
- Associates degree in Finance or similar field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance vendors
- 3+ years Experience with Accounts Receivable, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care environment
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
