Royal Braintree Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is the largest facility in the Royal family of nursing centers. Royal Braintree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is conveniently located at the foot of Weymouth Landing where Braintree, Weymouth and Quincy converge, and within easy walking distance of the commuter train.

The primary purpose of the MMQ Nurse role is to complete Management Minutes Questionnaire (MMQ) for all residents upon Conversion to Medicaid benefits, Admission to Medicaid and with any Significant change of condition with category change in accordance with State of Massachusetts and this facilities policies. Monitor nursing documentation for completeness and accuracy in order to ensure documentation supports the MMQ as part of the MMQ completion process and that the facility is reimbursed for care provided to each resident on Medicaid benefits

Job Description:
  • Completes Management Minutes Questionnaire (MMQ) for all residents upon Conversion to Medicaid, Admission to Medicaid and with Significant Change.
  • Completes MMQ for pending Medicaid residents
  • Observe  and communicate any changes in resident care to appropriate team members
  • Completes full chart reviews of all documentation to support the MMQ as part of the MMQ completion process to ensure the facility is accurately reimbursed for care provided.
  • Monitors nursing treatment sheet documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Reconciles monthly nursing summary with the medical record in order to ensure documentation supports accurate Medicaid reimbursement upon MMQ Audit.
  • Provides administration with statistical information, as requested, on all residents to be used for acuity, trends, and revenue tracking.
  • Generates electronic MMQ file and submits to Mass Health per MMQ requirements.
  • Reviews for, coordinates, writes and submits MMQ appeal letters within the allowable time frames as indicated after MMQ Audit reductions.
  • Provides education to all facility staff as needed to ensure compliance for MMQ documentation completion requirements and to ensure accurate reimbursement for care provided.
  • Monitors clinical documentation for Significant Change. Communicates with MDS Nurse to ensure timely completion of the Significant change MMQ.
  • Communicates with Business Office Manager to ensure accurate Medicaid billing for the effective MMQ for each resident.

Nursing Care Functions,  Evaluate each resident’s condition and pertinent medical data to determine any need for special assessment activity or need to amend the assessment, documentation or MMQ; Educate, manage, and monitor staff as it relates to MMQ process; „h Ensure that all care is provided per residents’ wishes’ „h Ensure that all members of the team are aware of the importance of completeness and accuracy in their assessment functions and that they are aware of the penalties, including civil monetary penalties for false certification or documentation.

Requirement:

Must possess as nursing Degree from an accredited College or University; „h
R.N. License in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; „h
Experience with MMQ completion and submission; 
Excellent communication skills in the English language; „h
Ability to provide one-to-one and group education regarding documentation and correction of errors related to MMQ processes and procedures; „h
Attention to detail; „h
Word processing and related computer skills
