Core Job Responsibilities
  • Provides group behavior services for residents.
  • Plans and implements group programming services in compliance with departmental guidelines and expectations
  • Oversees treatment plans for residents on assigned caseload (including, but not limited to: money management, behavior, group attendance, room standards, etc)
  • Works with assigned residents to ensure room is in compliance with facility standards.
  • Provides frequent therapeutic interactions with residents.
  • Completes all required paperwork and documentation in compliance with departmental, state and federal guidelines & requirements
  • Assists residents in performance of activities of daily living.
  • Communicates with Supervisors regarding the physical and emotional condition ofresidents.
  • Implements and communicates treatment approaches and plans as needed for all residents.
  • Completes quarterly MDS assessments for residents on assigned caseload.
  • Attends all assigned in-services and staff meetings.
  • Accompanies residents on community-based trips, as assigned.
  • Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for residents at all times
  • Assists with crisis intervention or de-escalation ofresidents as needed
  • Maintains supplies and equipment used in the department.
  • Successfully completes training course in Care & Safety, & annual recertification
  • Communicates relevant issues to treatment team.
  • Completes assignments or coverage's as scheduled.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
 
Key Educational/Professional Requirements
  • Associates degree, preferred
  • Previous experience in behavior health, preferred
