Core Job Responsibilities

Job duties for medical records will include but not limited to:
  • Maintaining all medical records in designated area in accordance with established policies and procedures;
  • Preparing admission packets and establish medical files;
  • Maintaining open charts by filing all clinical documentation daily as it is received;
  • Monitoring and audit records for completeness and accuracy at assigned intervals;
  • Processing , transfer and discharge records and maintain appropriate records on discharged residents including preparation of bereavement file, if applicable;
  • Preparing reports as directed and informing facility leadership of any deficiencies in documentation;
 
Job duties for central supplies will include but not limited to:
  • Order all nursing supplies
  • Order all office supplies
  • Order all rehabilitation supplies
  • Order all forms (i.e. Briggs, Nursing Assessments)
  • Store weekly orders and supplies properly
  • Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance and put nursing supplies on unit.
 
Key Educational/Professional Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  •  At least one year previous clerical experience, preferably in a long-term care setting;
  •  Good verbal and written communication skills;
  •  Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, resident and company proprietary information;
