Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor 

The Nurse Aide Training program instructor will oversee the planning, implementation and management of the Nurse Aide Training Program at the Royal Cotuit Nursing and Rehabilitation center. He/She will be responsible for building and evaluating a consistent training program in compliance with state and federal guidelines, while also adhering to the Royal Health Group philosophy and mission statement.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops and implements a training program with continual process improvement.
• Pre-interview and evaluation of all candidates. • Tracking and measuring class success, attendance records, performance indicators; providing deliverables.
• Directs and/or assists in development and implementation of orientation/mentoring for the training program.
• Supervises and monitors nursing assistant students throughout evaluation period
• Teaches CPR as applicable. • May require travel to other Royal facilities as needed
.
Qualifications

• Instructor must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience is required and a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in long-term care/geriatric nursing.
• 1 year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
• Successful completion of the Train the Trainer program
• Experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.
