Royal Braintree is currently hiring Experienced Director of Rehabilitation - Full Time Opportunity

Overview:
The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for the overall management, leadership and clinical quality of the rehabilitation department. S/He will manage, monitor and support all operational, administrative and clinical services at the center so as to ensure quality and consistency with company standards.

Job Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Operations/Administration
  • Routinely provides overall coordination of all activities and services provided by the Rehabilitation Department
  • Assist in ensuring that the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensure all rehabilitation services are in compliance with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines
  • Direct and access the scheduling of patients/residents for therapy services
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulators. utilizes this knowledge to provide quality, patient focused treatment plans.
  • Directly responsible for compliance, including accuracy and timely completion of daily, weekly and monthly billing
  • Assists in maintaining an updated per diem coverage plan.
  • Provides collaborative leadership and acts as liaison between the rehabilitation department and other departments as well as the facility as a whole
  • Complete community awareness activities including assistance with and follow through with marketing
  • Ensures ongoing communication with facility administrator in order to keep them informed of key issues and program development opportunities and to maintain good customer relations at all times
  • Prepares and schedules regular in-service education programs for rehabilitation department and facility staff
  • Promotes optimal communication among staff members, facility staff, physicians, patients and family members
  • Completes weekly payroll and monitors for accuracy
  • Monitors customer satisfaction and responds to complaints and/or concerns
  • Lead and coordinate weekly rehabilitation team meetings including agenda preparation, maintaining a record of attendance and minutes to ensure all rehab team members are involved
  • Ensure that all rehabilitation staff comply with all safety and compliance protocols and programs as well as company policies and procedures
  • Assists with the recruitment, hiring, counseling, supervision and evaluation of Rehabilitation staff in accordance with Royal policy
  • May participate in direct and indirect patient care activities
2. Clinical Quality and Performance
  • Directly responsible for ensuring that the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensures that all rehabilitation services are in compliance with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines
  • Ensure proper scheduling of patients/residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan (s) of care.
  • Manages and monitors staffing levels in all programs and establishes systems for evaluating the efficient utilization of therapy services
  • Responsible for compliance with QA systems, programs and standards. Oversees the evaluation of quality improvement systems and indicators. recommends changes in scope and emphasis of quality improvement initiatives
  • Provides leadership to all clinicians within programs in the promotion of Royal Health Group clinical values and commitment to clinical integrity
  • Routinely demonstrates a patient centered focus for making clinical and operational decisions
  • Assist in supervision and education of affiliating students
  • Conduct departmental performance evaluations in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Attend and participate in workshops, seminars in the field to keep abreast of current changes in healthcare as well as to maintain professional status
  • Make recommendations for the rehabilitation department budget and submit to the administrator
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent patient/resident care information to ensure that patient/resident's rights are protected
  • Demonstrates the ability to anticipate customer needs and to respond effectively and efficiently
  • Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, families, visitors, physicians, administrators and co-workers

Education and Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech language Pathology
  • Three or more years of experience of broad-based clinical management experience in long term care
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently and effectively in a multi-faceted system.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
  • Great communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Current licensure by the Board of Allied Professionals required.
