General Statement of Responsibilities

The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management and day to day operations of the facility
  • Ensure conformance with the annual budget
  • Fiscal management through census development, cost controls, and stringent receivable collection.
  • Participate in marketing activities while co-developing and implementing a marketing plan that achieves the financial goals and maintains high occupancy and premium case-mix through marketing strategies.
  • Provide a positive work environment for staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.

Key Experience & Education:

  • Experience as Executive Director in a skilled nursing facility
  • Experience managing centers providing service to people in the psychiatric capacity.
  • Administrator’s license in the state of Massachusetts is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in mental health, psychology, gerontology, business or related field preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements
  • Ability to manage budget
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
