The rich wood paneling and a classic staircase greets the visitor upon entering Royal Taber Street. The beautiful building was built in 1912 as the private residence of George Cherry of the Cherry and Webb Company in the historic West End section of the city of New Bedford. Addressing a severe need among the elderly population, particularly on the South Coast, Royal Taber Street is offering the Diabetes Specialty Services program from the world-renowned Joslin Diabetes Center, with full access to Joslin’s vast resources and care model that has proven to be so effective in managing diabetes.

PT day hours
FT 3p-11p

The Floor Nurse will advocate for the residents in his or her care while communicating and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. He or she will provide and document resident and family education and maintain an organized and clean care environment. The Floor Nurse will also participate in the development of policies, procedures and systems that support resident care and safety. All other duties assigned per the Director or Assistant Director of Nursing.

Some weekends and rotating holidays required.

Education & Experience:
 

• 2-3 years of experience as nurse in Long-Term Care setting.
   
• Currently licensed as an RN or LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts;
   
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
