General Statement of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Floor Nurse will advocate for the residents in his or her care while communicating and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Provide  and document resident and family education and maintain an organized and clean care environment.
• Participate in the development of policies, procedures and systems that support resident care and safety.

Key Educational/Professional Requirements

• Currently licensed as an RN or LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts;

 
Key Professional Attributes

• Superior self-management skills, as independent initiative, time management,  and ability to collaborate are essential
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, reflecting an understanding of the appropriate use of communication technologies and an appreciation that each audience requires its own approach
• Appreciation of cultural and ethnic diversity, especially with respect to outreach to underserved communities

 
Other Requirements
 

• Location: Royal Cape Cod (Buzzards Bay)
• Overnight (11 pm – 7 am)
• 15 hours per week
